Rachel Ennis



achel Ennis was born in England and at the age of 5 attended the Hillingdon School of Gymnastics.  

At the age of 12 she was a member of the British National Squad and then became the Junior British Champion in two events of 2001.  She won her first gold medal at the Commonwealth Championships in 2002 and then followed on to represent Great Britain at numerous international competitions.


In 2006 Rachel became a British Senior Champion in one event and came forth place in the Commonwealth Games during that year.  She has so far competed at three World and two European Championships representing Great Britain.


In 2010 she achieved the title of English Senior Champion and was a Bronze Medallist in the Commonwealth Games.  She was awarded Master Gymnast Award Class 1 from the London Gymnastics Federation in recognition of her achievements in the sport and art of gymnastics.


Furthering her career and diversifying herself, Rachel takes a musical turn as she appeared in a music video for Dame Kiri Te Kanawa, a highly successful international Opera Singer.

At the Brit Awards, Rachel performs a gymnastics display for Kanye West's performance of "Diamonds Are Forever".  Continuing the music theme she later appears in another music video "Proud" by Heather Small, which has been chosen as the official song for the Olympic 2012 bid for London.

Rachel later performed a gymnastics diplay on stage at "Proms In The Park" and other numerous performances at corporate events.


Another performance involved working with highly esteemed photographer Iain Crawford on his project "The Best of the Best!" - a visual celebration with original treatment of the best in sport, this will result in an exhibition in the Olympic summer.


Her most recent appearance was in a campaign video to clean up Shell's oil pollution in the Niger Delta in Nigeria.  The video was an Amnesty International project and a compassionate move in Rachel's career.
